Pictures

I know, I haven't posted for a while. But it is hard to do much with batik wax when the basement room you work in is 50 degrees. But come July & August I'll be so nice.

In order to make a stencil, I was looking for a picture of a Monarda, also known as Bee Balm or Wild Bergemot. The flowers kind of resemble the lady with the wild hair, don't you think? I like to put something on the back of most of the batik shirts. For women's on the shoulder, kind of like a tattoo.

A good place to find some really good pictures and line drawings is on the US Dept. of Agriculture website. They have images of plants from around the world in addition to the practical info of how to identify, growing characteristics, etc.

  1. Check out my butterfly garden this summer for all the samples of bee balm that you want!

The face effect in the middle of your flower lady is quite stunning. You truly have a flare for design.
